MINIMUM ADVERTISING PRICE
Minimum advertising price (or MAP) is a policy agreement between the supplier and retailer of the lowest price a retailer can advertise a product. It is not the lowest price the retailer can sell the item in their store but the lowest price that can be printed, shown online, or advertised. This doesn’t mean our store can’t sell the product cheaper but simply can’t display a cheaper price. Thus, items listed may be higher than if you were to come into our store. MAP pricing protects the manufacturer and levels the playing field for big chain and small retail stores.
